Canby High School athlete, Jackson Doman, dominates both wrestling and football with unmatched skills, including a 31-0 wrestling record and a recent tournament win. With family support and an unwavering dedication to his craft, Doman looks forward to leading his team to victory in the playoffs.
Canby Junior Girls Basketball team won their home tournament, going 4-0 and defeating Woodburn in the final. Their strong defense and teamwork led to the championship.
Canby High senior RayAnne Schedler is a rare 3-sport athlete with a 4.0 GPA. She excels in volleyball, basketball, and tennis, making her an invaluable member of the Canby Cougars’ teams.
The Gators swim club formed in the 1970s and is a parent-run nonprofit organization. The team is based at the Canby Swim Center and practices and competes pretty much year-round, including throughout the summer.
“I’m very confident in our team this year. I think we’re going to do great, and we don’t want to make it to just playoffs — we want to win it all,” Konold says. “That’s definitely the goal for the season, but we’re going to take each week one at a time, and just always give our full effort.”
This program provides a life-changing opportunity for both host families and exchange students where they can learn about each other’s cultures and develop relationships that will last a lifetime. The program allows the exchange students to create life-long connections and go back to their countries to share their experiences in America.
Canby’s beloved Casey the Cougar has gotten a makeover. Canby High School unveiled a fresh, new redesign for its Cougars logo during a brief event at the Applied Technology Center in April
The Canby High School band program capped an unprecedentedly successful spring campaign with some shiny new hardware this year, bringing home second place at the OSAA Band/Orchestra State Championships and placing fourth at the Oregon Music Education Association State Jazz Championships.
