The 2025 Forest Grove Festival of the Arts is set to return for its second year, promising an even more vibrant celebration of creativity and community. This collaborative effort between the Forest Grove Public Arts Commission and the Adelante Mujeres Farmers’ Market will take place on the first Wednesdays of May through August, from 4 to 8 p.m., in historic downtown Forest Grove.

Building on the success of its inaugural year, which saw an impressive 58 performances and activities across 16 venues within a three-block radius of the Farmers’ Market, the 2025 festival aims to further enhance the experience for attendees. The most anticipated improvement is a larger performance space and an expanded audience seating area, allowing for more dynamic presentations and greater community engagement. Details are still being finalized with the City of Forest Grove.

The Festival’s commitment to accessibility remains strong, with all activities and performances offered free to the public. Visitors can expect a diverse array of artistic expressions, including music, dance, theatre, literary arts, fine arts, photography, film and crafts.

This wide-ranging program reflects the festival’s dedication to fostering appreciation for various art forms and building more inclusive community connections. At its core, the Forest Grove Festival of the Arts seeks to grow participation in and appreciation for the arts while strengthening the fabric of the local community. As such, many hands-on make-n-takes and participatory performances will be featured.

By bringing together artists, performers and residents in a celebratory atmosphere, the festival creates a unique platform for cultural exchange and creative expression. As the event enters its second year, organizers are optimistic about its potential for growth and impact. The Festival Zone is expected to attract even more visitors and showcase a broader range of talents, further cementing Forest Grove’s reputation as a hub for artistic endeavors.

With its blend of local flavor, artistic diversity and community spirit, the 2025 Forest Grove Festival of the Arts is poised to become a highlight of the summer calendar, offering residents and visitors alike a chance to immerse themselves in the rich cultural tapestry of Forest Grove.

The Festival of the Arts was created by a subcommittee of the Public Arts Commission and led by Linda Taylor, who brought her idea to life through dedication, collaboration and creativity. The collaboration among the subcommittee, the stakeholders, the performers and the Farmers’ Market has been an exciting accomplishment. Collaborating with the community has been a long term goal of the PAC and this has been a very successful example of what can be done when we work together.
