Jason Thompson started his work for Budget Blinds of McMinnville in 2009, installing high quality window coverings for clients throughout Yamhill County and the surrounding areas. In 2013, he bought the store and now runs it with a highly experienced and dedicated crew of five.
More than a decade after getting into the window covering business, he still loves seeing new products come down the line and sharing them with his clients. “I enjoy seeing the results of a job, and customers happy and excited,” Jason says.
Some window blind dealers rely only on one vendor and have a limited selection, but Budget Blinds of McMinnville works with a variety of vendors to offer everything from standard shades and blinds to shutters, motorized shades, honeycomb, and drapes. Their enormous selection allows them to accommodate nearly any style and budget. It’s such a large selection and variety, Jason notes, that it’s not even possible to have them all on display in the showroom.
Ever cognizant of industry trends, Jason and his team have noted that in the past year homeowners preferences have definitely shifted, as they find themselves staying at home more than in the past. People are wanting a lighter, warmer environment throughout their homes, so lighter woods and wall colors are expected to be trending throughout 2021. Thankfully, Budget Blinds is well prepared to accommodate that demand – “There’s a lot to choose from,” Jason says.
Customers are welcome to visit the showroom on Highway 99W in McMinnville, where employees wear masks and high-touch areas are regularly cleaned after the previous customer leaves the store. Before you go, though, it may be helpful to visit their website, where you can find plenty of information about the products before seeing them in person.
However, the Budget Blinds team can also bring the showroom to you with a free in-home or virtual consultation. When you’ve decided on the look you want, they take meticulous measurements to ensure the perfect fit. “No two windows are the same,” says Jason, “so our sales team measures every window to give you a custom window covering, and we guarantee the fit. We have some window coverings that can help with insulating as well.”
Jason and the crew at Budget Blinds of McMinnville are committed to the local community and also to veterans. In partnership with Springs Window Fashions, the McMinnville store is proud to be the official window coverings supplier for Homes For Our Troops, a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to build and donate specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans to enable them to rebuild their lives.
The Budget Blinds of McMinnville showroom is located 1411 NE Highway 99W in McMinnville. They are open Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm, and evenings or Saturdays by appointment. For more information call 503-472-0792 or visit www.budgetblinds.com/McMinnville.
