Canby 4H, Getting Their Hands Dirty

Canby’s field trip was filled with experiential learning related to the theme of pollinators. Students rotated through 10 stations including the water station, 4-H program, tractors and insect stages. They planted basil, nasturtiums and marigolds to take home.

Canby High School Band Scores Big

The Canby High School band program capped an unprecedentedly successful spring campaign with some shiny new hardware this year, bringing home second place at the OSAA Band/Orchestra State Championships and placing fourth at the Oregon Music Education Association State Jazz Championships.

Special Olympics Victoriously Return To The Gorge

Athletes compete for fun in Hood River. The Hood River Special Olympics program has about 50 athletes of all ages participating in sports year round, Meckoll said. They compete in everything from bocce ball, bowling and basketball to track and field, swimming and skiing.

Building Better, Canby Looks Forward

Fundraising continues for a larger facility. With the community’s support, the nonprofit also plans to greatly expand and enhance its programs and services in Canby, strengthen partnerships with other local organizations and nonprofits serving those in need, and work to share its model with neighboring communities who have expressed interest in replicating it.

Celebrate Molalla

In 2017, the Molalla City Council embarked on creating a vision and action plan. The plan would be a road map for Molalla from 2020 to 2030. The project reached an important milestone in July 2018 with the idea of a city celebration.
